Ah, playing sword catcher.

I was checking out the cisco chart this morning since I bought it too soon after the fore systems IPO sell off in 1994. I bought it April/May at around 3 and 3/16 and bought more in august at 2 and a fraction. The purchase at 3 and 3/16 killed me. (Back then cisco was around $40 a share or so and bottomed out at around $18 in the august 94 blow off. I'll never forget what the smart guy analyst at fidelity told me: "I can buy cisco in the single digits, I'll wait." ) (He was fired this year.)

I wonder what we'll be saying about the difference between $58 and $54 three years from now?

Those may $55 strikes look interesting.....

Caveat: CSCO was a good call, last night I literally had a nightmare about begging a trader to sell my Template software stock at $14.50 before it collapsed. We sold it last year for $4. The memory of the losers seems to be as powerful as the winners.

I agree with you. However, it is.

It sure is... er, was. I put in an order for 500 shares at 58-1/2 and with some dumb luck (so far) got them for 58-1/16. One of my faults is buying too soon on dips, but as usual, this morning I couldn't resist. :-)
