That's an awful lot to assume from the little info you have. Just because your reasoned tastes dictate that ANF merchandise is too expensive, doesn't mean there isn't a fast-growing, profitable business here. Clearly, there is fear in the air around ANF, and I can see all the mental calculators running: 17% in Q2 and 12% in Q3 means 7% in Q4! They'll be negative by next year! ;-) Show me Gap's numbers for October, and then we'll have something to compare. But it seems to me that ANF might be doing best in a weak October retail market.
