That's why God created attorneys, SL. And intc isn't
anxious to go through the same doj process as msft. In
fact, they quickly apologised and settled with the doj
last year when they were put under the microscope.

Doesn't INTC serve as QCOM's foundry? So, theoretically INTC knows all about QCOM's ASICs, as they build them. Now they'll be a competitor, trying to build better ASICs than Q. Am I the only one that sees a problem here, what with trade secrets possessed by a competitor, and like issues? Am I missing something?

Building a chip in the fab and knowing the logic and circuit design are two totally different things. The CDMA algorithms, logic design are not revealed to the manufacturer. Only the layout masks are given. This is absolutely a non-issue.
