Still wrong, and Constant Reader managed to disparage without actually addressing any point, or offering any substantial opinion.

However, if you need it repeated, Reagan did not ease Marcos out of office. The Filipino people threw Marcos out of office. Reagan provided the getaway vehicle, the least he could do for his old buddy.

The entire case is relevant only as a laboratory example underscoring the weak points of our relationship with the 3rd world as a whole.

As I said, if you read any detailed examination of the events, rather than relying on biographies in which they are a minor issue, you would probably change your mind. But I don't imagine you want to do that.
