And look at the trend comparing this year with last year:

Q1 -98 Q2 -98 Q3 -98 Q4 -98
$1,273 $1,172 $1,559 $2,064

Q1 -99 Q2 -99 Q3 -99 Q4 -99
$1,999 $1,749 $1,458 $?,???

And they had to start playing accounting games to come up with $1,458 for the quarter, the actual was closer to $1,300.

Profits should be ramping up from Q1, not down. Q3 is a big quarter when parts are sold to OEMs for Q4 enduser purchases. And the volume was there - but the days of increasing profits seem to have been replaced with the days of decreasing profits.

Can you see where this trend is heading?
