Ike -- really weird things: (1) gold plummets as soon as London closes and New York is left to trade metals without those pesky foreigners around to buy -- hard to see why unless AG chose this moment to hose down the price; (2) AG makes a relatively clear statement on the risks of not pricing in risk until it comes and bites your butt -- after which panic ensues and risk is completely avoided ala liquidity crisis (and, in this case, stock market crash).
