Greenspan's speech did have an impact. The futures were down a fraction before he spoke and fell after he said for us not to put too much confidence in our stock prices. This is a big negative for stocks except I believe the biggest influence will be tommarow mornings numbers. If they are neutral to strong, we will tank big time tommarow. If they are weak numbers (no inflation), it will not be a bad day.
On YHOO, I strongly recommend staying away from the stock. Today was a suckers rally. STILL A LOWER LOW AND LOWER HIGH. IF you want to go long, at least wait till it makes a higher high. That should be easy tommarow IF it really is ready to rally. To talk about basing with a stock like YHOO is foolish. It falls in clumps, sits for a day and falls more clumps. It also can rise quickly, but now is NOT the time to buy it IMO. AMZN was upgraded yesterday and was DOWN 5 by days end. The nets are showing weakness here and the MM's move it up to get small fish in here buying as they dump it. Just my humble opinion learned from buying YHOO after great earnings and a 30 point drop. It dropped another 50 after that. Time to buy is sometime late November. Good luck to all long or short! Steve D.
