Sell bonds for the same reason you get out of any investment....because you either don't believe they will provide you with a better rate of return than an alternative investment (maybe stocks, maybe whole companies, maybe something else)....or because you don't believe the risk/ reward ratio favors you any longer....it's not a black and white world and there are many possible reasons for selling bonds.
