How can one hold when every couple of weeks he forces you to sell prior to his boring speeches? And you are so right, everything is now magnified and accelerated.

The first change he needs to make to fix this is to limit institutional trading of stocks... they're the culprit and we get the blame. My meager account is nothing but a drop in the bucket with the amount those guys move every minute... all we're doing is hitching a ride.

Susan,
I agree with your points. AG reminds me at times of some of the geriatric drivers one sees on the highways...while making so much effort to be cautious and slooowwww doowwnn, they disrupt the normal flow of traffic and cause collisions. He is a very bright and concerned individual but the issues of increased worker productivity and slight wage increases in the setting of continued absence of inflation seems unacceptable to him. Small moves by the fed may indeed negate the need for larger ones in the future, but the constant reprimands he gives while trying to rein in the stock market are unnecessary.
The uncomfortable stance he has now taken as a bull market adversary, coupled with the immediacy of information available to everyone from Goldman Sachs to garbage collectors has created the very volatility he seeks to suppress.
When opportunity knocks, traders will take advantage of it. It's a good thing I get a professional discount on Pepcid, however:)
