Agreed on the comforting thoughts. Timing seems suspect (options expiry)..as if he wants to pull the plug. Fact is that a panic could be bad for those heavily margined. Perhaps letting the cat out of the bag tonight gives the markets time to evaluate..If this happened at 10:00a.m. it could be really fast with no time to blow up the life rafts.

TD,
Some are speculating that AG has seen the PPI numbers that may be positive and is therefore trying to talk the market down in advance of the anticipated strength. I don't have an opinion though.
