I agree with your post. Greenspan has a point, but does his charter include controlling stock prices by increasing interest rates or by threatening to do so? That action kills the whole market. Investors would do well to not overvalue some stocks. There are many that are not overvalued to invest in. ONE BEING CPQ! A better protest of the Greenspan speech would be to invest in CPQ today. Lets see this stock at a value of 30 where it belongs even with poor management.

The same can be said for analysts for whom we wait with baited breath for their estimates. That is part of why the market is so crazy. The analyst says the stock is weak so it sits, even though the profits are above expectations. When are the analysts controlling pricing and when are they prediciting? Since they do not like CPQ it will take a long time out of this mess unless investors think more for themselves. The thread has given more than enough reason to invest in this stock with no results. Buy CPQ today!

I think Greenspan has become senile and wants to set stock prices. It is time for him to retire.
