<20 times the typical connection, does that mean 20X as 28K modem? That would be about one-third the speed of G. Lite DSL, which I believe maxes out at 1.5meg. For a typical residential or small business user, is the difference significant?>

Yess...Don't forget the power of a simple number like 2. I use AOL only because I can connect wherever I go. In NYC it's getting painfully slow. I NEED and alternative. This past weekend I was upstate and AOL worked great. Hit Next and up comes the page, probably somewhere around 40kbps. 400kbps would be spectacular from this vantage point. I suppose question is how often it'll get really slow?
