Amy, Paul & thread

At 7:20 am S & P futures are at - 13.70 fair value, a result of Greenspans comments last night.

However, CNBC is indicating that the PPI report due out at 8:30 am today could turn this around. Should be very volatile day.

Amy and All, re: "I would have valued the opportunity to have been reassured on several things regarding this area of the business, particularly as it relates to the long-term."

I too would appreciate more visibility of the Intel strategy behind its recent acquisitions.

This is not the same company it was several years ago. Let's face it, Intel has been mostly a one trick pony, exceptionally good at designing, manufacturing, marketing and selling PC microprocessors. This has been where the bulk of their profits have come from, including the currency for the acquisitions. There has been little guidance from Intel to its shareholders on how this competency will be synergistic with the communications market acquisitions.

As a long-term holder of INTC, with more than 15% of my net worth tied up with the company, I would like to review their intentions and make an informed decision if I want to increase or decrease my holdings.

Is the new Intel a more or a less risky investment than it was two years ago? I don't have the information to make an intelligent guess.

John

Amy - Re: ", I'd like to start seeing some questions get asked and answered on this business segment during the calls"

Maybe you should suggest this to Investors Relations.
