William, Nice read. . . . . Hey! I bought some stock today. SKX . . took one more hit today. . .and it was already at a ridiculous price. . . I just couldn't stand it anymore. PE is like 6 . . good profit margin and something like 19 percent increase in profits last quarter .. . next quarterly is November. This was an IPO in the Spring. . .that came out on a relatively bad market day and then fizzled out altogether. . but it is hardly a start-up . . and has nothing to do with internet. If you have teens, look through their magazines and you will find ads for Skechers . . or take a look in their closet. My wife has 4 teenagers. . .so I would guess we have 2 dozen pairs of Skechers here. But here is the part that made up my mind. . .Many of their rugged styles appeal to my generation as well. . .I bought my first pair about 2 years ago. . and now prefer them for all of my winter casuals. . . I'll bet I have 6 pair . . .in fact, they always seem to fit when other brands don't in the same size. . .and with such consistency that I would buy them over the internet [if on sale . . .I love bargains . . markets are markets] . . . I don't even know if they have a website, though they are marketed through all the major chain stores, so I am sure they are readily available over the net. OT> Put it this way, when strolling through Price Club one day, I bought 6 pairs of white leather tennis shoe Skechers for girls. . .in 2 sizes . . . this gives the girls one pair to wear to school and another to keep clean and white for those times they want to melt the hearts of those poor boys that call here continuously. . . . no school today, so the girls were "out" last night. . . first time as a step dad that I found myself literally pacing the floor . . . LOL! Anyway. . . buying SKX at 3 15/16 for a long term hold on fundamentals . . .could also be a position closet play, awaiting discovery. Rande Is
