everything I have read, and all the charts I look at imply the Dow is headed back to 8K. I knew we were going down when the dow broke 10,400 and I didn't buy puts on QQQ. As has been pointed out many times here tech is the last to react due to overly optimistic investors in this field. I know, I was one. I follow many small cap companies and they are finding a comfortable bottom at 1994-1995 price levels! I'm looking for the final shakeout to get my 401K money back into small caps where it can grow at higher than average rate of return historically over 50 years. My trading money is mostly cash. I have a decent size position in 1 stock and sold some long term calls to protect myself because I bought it on support a couple of weeks ago, and I'm scared to death of the market. I also hold a small position in GLG which I think I'll hold like long term calls. I'll probably look to scale into some other junior gold miners.

The market probably will flag as you suggest. I'm not good enough to play these short term things yet.
