How's this for an analogy?

PA's wired world is like a flotilla of logs...could be a juggernaut in a wide enough(read: BROADBAND) environment...

But as it(WW) gains volume/breadth, manueverability will be reduced...and any narrowing of the environment can lead to a severe log-jam....(though individual logs(e.g., GNET) may well continue along unimpeded))

But for now, the inertia is dragging...and the river is wide, ergo--slow...

Rapids ahead?

Everyone wearing a helmet and lifejacket....? Then we're fine!....

Good luck all...

I pretty much agree with the first part of your post and have notice the contrarian drift in relation to other portals (and 'nets in general). The possible/probable reason(s) for this have been hashed and re-hashed here.

As far being concerned about what the "drift" of GNET means for the charter IPO...I personally don't think it means a whole heck of a lot. GNET and Charter are separate entities (at this point), and I think most investors in the upcoming IPO aren't too concerned about how GNET stock is performing...at least short-term. Looking at the big-picture of what PA is bringing together, how much of it is dependent on Go2Net?
