Abed, I don't have all the info on this one, as I haven't followed Perqs in a long time. I know that it is an artificial derivative of MCI nad it looks like it is skewed to allow the stock to pay a 6% interest rate, which is awfully low for a firm that was close to bankruptcy a few years back. But I would need a prospectus to tell you exactly what it is.

Most of these things are scams when they are first issued, heavy with vig for the broker who suckers somebody into it. However, once they are trading, some can be good deals. I hate MCI, so I haven't looked at this one.
