Perhaps SDLT is, as you say, "being optimistically presented", I don't know, which is why I added the qualifier, if PvC "isn't blowing smoke". It sounded to me like he was choosing his words very carefully, and sounded credible. I, of course, have a lot riding on his being credible, and am disposed to believe him.

I would guess that Comdex will be a very interesting week for Exabyte's and DSS's potential customers, managers and owners. We'll get a better picture then of who is smoking and who is eating properly and speaking without forked tongue. this is why I hope that MB and company don't single handedly hold up the stock here, even if they are speaking truly and without spin. There will be other buying opps in the weeks leading to Comdex as at least some uncertainty will reign in most minds, I think. Of course, the OEMs who are testing the equipment know what is what. I wish we knew some of them, or some would weigh in.

Best,
Sam
