redont mess with short term options
I agree, and not only buy LEAPS and DIM calls, also sell these when you have a good gain. I had a good gain in the Nov ones and now am sweating, sold my Oct ones at a good gain, lost an even good-er gain (VVVVBG) but any gain is better than any loss.
But I am one of the worst in not selling things that are short term when they have good profits...cmtn is one...and now I wonder if I'll make a profit on it at all...this correction may blow right past their earnings runup, and take it with it.
Bottom line Any option that is not a leap is short term, take a gain and get out when you have one.
Now someone tell ME that .

It looks like the mm's are going to keep QCOM right in the $200 range [+ or minus $1] to close off expirations. Monday should be very interesting - probably a plus day for the Q.
