Jim: Re Airspan: What is most interesting are the two words "not currently", no? Chaz

PS And of course NextWave is tied up in court by the FCC - so its status is difficult to judge.

Can an entity in bankruptcy court have a "current" Q license? Curious.

PPS And do all repeat all the players need Q licenses before roll out?
Assume so.

Unless, for some reason no license is required. Doubt that.

Airspan is not currently a licensee of QUALCOMM's

Interesting. This is the world Qdog has been talking about. Sounds like competition for HDR to me.I 've asked repeatedly what this IP packet- based state of the art network NXTW wants to build is, but nobody's come up with any answers. Guess we're starting to find out.

Jim - inre WLL CDMA - Yes it is much easier to do CDMA without Q's IPR when it is for a fixed system. For instance, power control becomes much less of an issue as does handoff. There might still be some royalties, but probably nowhere near the same level.

FWIW.
