Agree totally, Joe. . .sometimes we simply need to clean our house and rid ourselves of the junk. . .and take bigger positions in the great stocks when they are down. . . I know that has helped me over the summer.

So today we will see a small short-covering rally going into the weekend, which is relative from the level we are at currently. . .coupled with some bottom fishers that are picking the choice buys. . .but I don't see any decisions made with big bucks and heavy volume at this time. . . .so it looks like the groundhog has seen his shadow and we will flounder for two more weeks. <g>

Not taking any major positions here. . . waiting for MY prices before jumping in on our favorites. We could use more discussion on target entry points.

Looks like another fight between TokyoJoe&Anthony@ on ZANY . . .http://www.techstocks.com/~wsapi/investor/search?s=zany&domain=Full
Evidently TokyoJoe started buying at 7. . then got CNBC coverage of his buy, which was put out through PR. . .this new celebrity status was scoffed at, spawning a move by Tony's group, which made a short sell call and published their own investment opinion against ZANY: Message 11562345

We avoid all contrived plays. I don't understand trading any stock for personal reasons. . and certainly hope that no traders here buy or short-sell any stock based on a personal vendetta of theirs or anyone elses. That sounds more like what street gangs do. Emotions should have no place in professional stock trading, IMO.

Based on your OWN due diligence . . you pick your OWN stocks. . .you make your OWN calls. . .you plan your OWN trades, then you TRADE YOUR PLAN. That is our philosophy in a nutshell.

Speaking of stock picking. . . my mom calls and emphatically says "Office Depot!!", right at the morning bell. . . .but of course, I am busy with 100 things and figured I would get around to looking into her suggestion within the hour. . . the chart from yesterday was flat. . . Take a look at todays intraday. Opened at 9 and one hour later it is at 11. Can't wait until I get an assistant to make certain I don't forget things like MIPS and ODP.

Moral. . . always listen to your mom.

LOL!! Perhaps we should get her a thread of her own. "Mom Is. . HOME?" LOL!
