Pat, I am scared nonetheless...A blowout quarter would go a long way to making me feel better. I am also very concerned about LU's lack of vision for IP. NT recently announced a $2.5 billion R&D budget with 60% targeted for IP. What do we have in the IP space for the high ticket items? Not much. The nexabit box is weak in the software space and the bfr in Minnesota is gone I believe. Perhaps LU should stroll over to JNPR and give them anything they want. Brian

Pat,

LU is behaving very badly here. I'm not sure I'd base my investement decision on Mr. Fun's posts...as analytical as he comes across - he could be wrong. One thing that I'd be concerned about is one of the points in Hitesh's last post

There has been extreme pricing pressure on the 5ESS switch so count out any upside surprise

This is LU's bread and butter and if in fact (and we don't know if this is the fact or not) 5E revenues are lagging behind expectations - even a little....it could be painful since I think this is still a pretty significant part of LU's business. I certainly hope for the sake of us longs that Mr Fun is right about continued purchases of 5E's...but if not.... well all I can say is OUCH.
