RE:GV Tucker-We are in and have been for 18 years experiencing "long term secular disinflation" as shown by the CPI -every so often we get a "dead cat CPI bounce"-but the "big pic" IMO is that we have too many vendors and more than enough supply ,including oil,(my degree is in Geology and not enough buyers so we have world-wide disinflation continuing-internet is very ,very dis-inflationary -.Some "types" have a never changing bias towards just the opposite view ,believing and seldom ever deviating from said view that there is the big "I-Kahoona" out there just barely around the corner-"I have been of another slant and it is my considered opinion and has been for 18 years. This viewpoint has served me rather well.----Each to his own.I believe in plain English that--- There ain't no ---- inflation period and that Gold is red-herring for the un-informed a silly indicator and always has been. wbm

SUNW's PE is now equal to Dell's with 1/2 the growth rate. isn't that something.

As to inflation. The numbers in the PPI that increased it's averages were tobacco prices and gasoline. What the heck? Food, technology, etc. all came in line.

Since when does oil and tobacco imply, by themselves increased inflation?
