Your URL points to what Paul Erdman believes; and is unlikely to be what Greenspan meant. Might be, but not likely.

I suspect that today's talking heads and Pen Wielders are what causes Mr. Greenspan and the other Fed governors to become absolutely perplexed at how any intelligent person could read such utter nonsense into one of their well crafted speeches.
