GV "to be accurate you ought to eliminate the two lowest data points. All of a sudden, the numbers look bad again."

okay, what are the two "low data points"? when you have metals and lumber coming up from a five year lows, with negative inflation, it is hard to imagine that coming from a "negative inflation" stance to some prices that are now just equal to 1994 and 1995 numbers would create such a stir in 1999.

sorry, will look it up. dow jones was saying oil and tobacco.
