Oct. 14, 1999--Dell Computer Corp. (NYSE:DELL - news) announced that its chief information officer,
Jerome N. Gregoire, resigned to pursue other interests.

DELL stated that its senior vice president of finance, James M. Schneider, will assume Mr. Gregoire's
responsibilities until a successor is named.
