I think we should all panic. Seriously, cell phones are a fad. Or maybe I should be more specific, GSM and TDMA cellphones are a fad.

You do have a way of putting things in perspective. Thanks.

The Braves are looking forward to meeting the Sox in the World Series. Maybe we can beat them. <vbg>

"this week was a major re-test of September lows
it was violent and well-publicized, but we did not breach"

I strongly disagree Dow broke 10,081 end of story. We will go to 9800 and form a bottom. I think on Monday or Teusday We will see top off day. Today would have been MUCH worse if not for Options expiration buying. This market is going lower and it has nothing todo with BIG house conspiracy. There is a lack of buying conviction due to Y2K and fighting the fed. Voltaire, with all due respect I am still waiting for the HOUSES to come in and support at DoW 10,500.
I agree with you in theory, but sometimes the houses get nervous too. like last OCTOBER.

Jim, Powerwave did extremely well today (~+10%). Although we cannot compare it to the likes of QCOM, MOT and NOK; Powerwave provides Cellular and PCS components and blew away the estimates by 42% ( $0.27 to $0.19 )and is 8.5 times off its 52 week low of ~$7 to end the day at ~$60. If Powerwave is showing these great profits for Cellular and PCS components; what does that mean to Qualcomm earnings on November 2nd? Qualcomm stated that they would meet or beat the estimates. + 42% would be a good start............

Cheers,

David
