CPUs for the Christmas season have already been ordered - orders for January will be bought in Novemner/December - so IBM's AthWIPE purchases will WIND DOWN in November December.

Fear not - AMD will still take over the world by January !

Charles, ?? Selling direct is a retail pathway, a direct retail pathway that Dell has show to be excellent, lower end user price + higher system price. Will IBM execute it well......that is the question. I suspect that IBM has done an analysis of this method and has finally decided to jump in with both feet.
