If you must know Slider, I am sueing Web Street Securities because they committed a contract tort. They said they would accept stocks and then failed to execute because "they changed their mind" (that was actually their reason!). I had wanted to liquidate RRC because it was breaking down, but couldn't due to their incompetence tying up the holdings. When my stocks finally cleared their screw up, my broker wanted me to sell something due to the collapse of RRC. I sold it and am suing them for the difference between when I contacted my broker to sell and couldn't and when I was finally able to.

As for having lost a great deal of money, I have lost 15% since the initial margin call. No big deal - most people have lost or are down more. Works out well for taxes this year

By the way, how did your MHR do today? Must be a typo on my screen - it says down 8.6%. You have over half my losses in one day. GLBL down 4.2%? Ouch! Well, at least you got a great deal on HAL at $35.5 - oh wait, it's now $34 5/8. Were ANY of your "easy doubles" up today?

Slider: agree/disagree

I agree with you 100% on the energy shares and did some buying early in the day. Not too much though because of the possibility of a bad break on Monday. But will be buying heavily very soon.

I think you are too optimistic on the overall market and the financial shares in particular. I look for them to go much lower in the weeks ahead.

The other big problem area is the big tech stocks. No way this market will turn around on a sustained basis until they get hit real hard. Their bear market has barely begun.

Hardly a Day to Hesitate...

I agree, Slider. I've been doing some deep sea fishing in the patch for over a week now, with very few nibbles until yesterday afternoon, when I finally hooked some EEE at 2 1/16. Two more of my bottom-fishing lures got hit hard this morning... MEXP at 1 3/4 and RRC at 3 7/8. Now I've only got one more lure to go, but this is one HEC of a deep trawler, set with a limit buy order at 1. Purely contrarian play, that one. I've been bearish on HEC for over two years from 7 and change. Probably won't know what to do with it when I catch it. ;-)

PS - How 'bout those Yankees last night, eh? <g>
