Why not just raise right away? Will they do that? Its a long time until November, I'd rather they just got it over with.<< Liz I think the Fed is caught between inflation and the uncertain response of U.S. consumers to the Y2K problem and the so called 'Asset bubble'and their consequences. More economic data needs to come out to confirm the PPI 's rise today. However, the market will usually discount this in before.
