This isn't quite the same cut of the stats as has been discussed, but it's one way to look at it:

The richest 1/5 of the population collects about 47% of the income. The middle fifth collects about 16%.

Robert,
If we're all lucky enough to get in the top 3,5 whatever % we sure
don't want to give it up to taxes and those not working hard enough, or not smart enough to make it in the first place.
