<What if we do have 1GHZ Athlons by christmas>

No doubt about it, Dan. AMD will most likely have 1 GHz Athlons by Christmas. But Intel will also have 1 GHz processors by Christmas as well.

(I take it you meant Christmas 2000, since obviously 1 GHz Athlons by Christmas 1999 is out of the question. Unless, of course, reality is not a burden that you feel like bearing.)

Dan3,
re:"What color is the sky in your universe ?"

Beautiful AMD GREEN baby!
amd.com

Download some beautiful wallpaper!

AMD Athlon, THE FASTEST PC PROCESSOR IN THE WORLD.

Intel 4Q going, going, gone.......
820/Rambust on life support. Actually giving in to the "let's use two slots instead of three" fix. "Intel blanks" they'll call them.
"Hey, anybody know where I can get some blankety-blanks from Intel?"

Coppermine will be "as good or almost as good as an Athlon?"
I'll take that as a compliment.

.18 Aluminum Coppermines having problems? And Intel admitted to it affecting the bottom line in Q3. AMD WOW Batman!

Jerry sandbagging? Why not; he's tried everything else.
Keep'em guessing Jerry.....

AMD GREEN Dan3!

And have a great day!

Danny3Peat - Re: "Did you see that someone messaged The Register that AMD is going to start production of .18 copper at Dresden this week?
theregister.co.uk
Even the Register is a little skeptical on this one, but..."

I also HEARD Jerry Sanders tell the analysts at the CC last week that Dresden wouldn't be in production until Q2/2000 and wouldn't contribute to earnings until Q3/2000.

You heard it too - whatsamatta ?

DId you conveniently forget this already and suddenly think the YUK Register is a RAG worth believing ??
