Jenne

We are drinking whatever you want!

You are the best news hound (pardon my southern expression) that I've ever had the pleasure of running across in my 4 years of online investing.

I'm buying so please pull up a chair!

QCOM

askresearch.com

Looking at the chart above you can see some conflicting indicators which is not at all unusual for QCOM. I see a falling Stochastics indicator and a confirmed sell signal a few days ago. The conflict I see is two open bullish candles for Thursday and Friday and a falling stock.

Also falling Williams R% that is on the 70 line which is nearing a bottom indication. Williams R normally turns up after it reaches 80 to 100 on the scale so I see this as a positive in that QCOM is very close to a bottom. My guess it by Tuesday Q will be in headed back up based on this signal alone.

MACD went negative on Friday meaning a loss of momentum. Money flow is neutral. This may be a sign at this point that QCOM is now under some accumulation which would make sense to me.

I see extreme lower support at $169 5/8 with upper resistance at
$200 7/16. That is the probable trading range over the next several days with $169 5/6 only doable in a major round of selling of the general markets.

A break above $224 7/8 would signal a new breakout to higher levels.

Its my opinion that the DOW and the NASDAQ have some more downside left before a recovery is seen. I'm holding my quality stocks.

This is another interesting look at Q using price channels;

Java chart test links for the DOW trendline support and resistance.

This two charts show the DOW has trend line support at 9,922. It landed Friday above the support level 9,993 so there is a chance it will not go down any further Monday but I think that is wishful thinking on my part.

The first and second charts are the same but are showing different time frames.
