Violetta, I suppose a 'cold reboot' is one where you turn the power off. I agree and have turned my computer power off at night for several months now. In the morning it's refreshed, just like I am. :)

Standby has problems with my Compaq, sometimes even leads to a freeze. I don't use it any more. In fact, after several such freezes, a Compaq [?] error message appeared and asked if I wanted to disable standby! I said yes.

I have a data entry form. I would like the values of certain prior
fields to stay as default after a new record is entered. For example, I
have 10 records with the date 10/18/99. I only want to enter 10/18/99
once and then have it automatically appear in the next nine records. I
would then overwite it with 10/19/99 when the date of my records change.

I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter. My clerical would
appreciate it even more :-)
