"Mr. Buffett,...has been saying for some time that these ROE rates are absolutely unsustainable." I'm not sure I agree that he said that. Perhaps you could direct me to the text for that statement. I think what he said was something along the lines, "equities prices are not too high if ROE stays high, rates stay low, and inflation stays low". No? Infering that the ROE's, largely grown through creative accounting and off income statement option grants, cannot be sustained must assume there will be a crackdown on those policies - IMO.
