Dwight, re your post on PPI, you have touched on a very important point.

The prices of goods the average Joe buys at stores have not risen much at all the past few years.

However, have you really studied your utility (phone, electric, gas, sewer, etc.) bills recently?

The one thing that seems to go up 10 - 20 % every year is the tax we all pay on these bills. Literally 1/2 your phone bill now is tax. Filling up your car with gas? About 2/3 is tax. Paying your property tax bill? The more your house is worth, the more tax you pay.

And of course, tobacco costs are mainly taxes.

This is the greatest stealth increase in the history of the Republic. One day, people are going to get fed up and do something about it.

But until then, we're subsidizing AG's salary with every utility bill we pay.

Kind of ironic, huh?
