(OT)Mr Big.If you're goin to Fenway today I suspect you live in my neck of the woods. I think you're right about Tom Gordon and Rod Beck; neither have impressed this past month; which makes me wonder why Tim Wakefield was left off the ALCS roster and Pat Rapp left off the roster for the Cleveland series. For Gordon's fastball to be effective he's gotta be able to throw that sharp breaking curve. Since he has not been throwing it I gotta think that he's not recovered from his elbow injury. I think Jimy's a great manager, but he makes occasional mistakes like everyone. With Pedro, they got to get him two or three runs. Let's see if Jimy puts on the bunt sign when he gets a leadoff man on second. A bunt in this situation is absolutely the right strategy...no matter who's at bat, even Nomar. And with the Yankees incredible bullpen, it's really a 7-inning game for them; that is, they win more than 95% of all games when they have the lead after 7 innings. The probability of scoring a run by moving the runner over to third via bunt is much higher than hitting away with the man on second. Enjoy the game. Make a sign reading "Pedro's a GEM"...so I'll be able to spot you. (Lee)
