>>> is it safe to come out yet? larry

maybe for the brave but not for me
I don't know what to go long or short right now
charts are too spooky for me
can't read 'um

here's my drill for the moment:

Monday open, who knows
during the day; the concern will be Tue morning's release of the CPI
it's expected to be fine but in light of the PPI traders will be nervous

depending on how Mon-Wed goes, I think we mess around for the next two weeks
height of the earnings season

but, if there is no big selloff the nexr few days we could see buyers come in big time; at least for some short fast position trades

then, a rally until mid Dec
selling then cause of "perceived" y2k fears

rally 1/1/00

I just dont feel comfortable doing much with these kind of uncertainties and volitility
so will do a lot of sitting
waiting watching
being bored to death

woke up too darn early
gonna need a nap before the Pats game
50/50 unless they finally do something in the first half

if the sox win again tonight this is going to be a wiz bang series
if not, I'll just send you the $10 in advance
why wait for the pain?

my son came over with his new digital camera
so here are a few shots of my trading set up
nothing fancy not state of the art
but it's functional and reasonable inexpensive
if i ever make any real money at this maybe the boss will let me out of the far corner of our loft

the 17" monitor on the right is on an old P266
the 17-20-17's next are on a multiple monitor P11-400
the 15 on the left is on my P90 'doorstop"
but she still is fine for Word, Excel, etc
the putter tables are $10 used specials form an office supply store
the desk is vintage 1800's, an old factory desk from granddad that took a couple years to re-finish
