I don't think they want to cause a panic --- anybody see a panic? <g> Greenspan has to have some reason for leaning into the wind recently ... If injections of liquidity are needed toward the end of the year it would be better to do it with asset prices already kicked a little. Greenspan is very aware of what happened last year -- he wanted some of it but perhaps not "all" of it? ... Perhaps I'm just displaying my ignorance here, but there has to be a reason he would talk the markets down before he raises rates again ...
