Your right on two fronts. Options expiration made a big differance with the nets. YHOO (which I have puts on) has two of the most active options (of all contracts), the 170 calls (OCT.) and the 170 puts (OCT.). Where did it close? 1693/4. AOL also had two of the most actively traded. The 110 puts and calls. Closed at 109+. The interest rate environment also is bad for the nets and I expect them to continue trending down. Yesterday I looked at all the big name internets from the day YHOO reported its 'blowout' earnings. Each one (including YHOO) has had lower highs and lower lows since OCT. 7. It is unbelievable that ALL of them have this pattern since YHOO reported. Keep in mind also, even though they did not crater Friday, YHOO was down 22 for the week; and all of them were down between 10 and 20. Thus the interest rate environment is affecting them all. Good luck! Steve D.
