LU will release 100 times faster TERABIT Router in 6 months. Why do they need Juniper. They unloaded while the going is good fro Juniper. See the previous post. Bernstein research report says that they are ahead of schedule on their Nexabit Router. They are shipping GX550s like crazy.

Brian,

Yes LU did exit from JNPR investment along with NN in JNPR
SPO. So far NT, LU, and NN are sold out their stake in JNPR.

The reason I think CSCO is a cause is the fact that
CSCO is the one started these aggressive acquisition
strategies. Now everyone follows the suit. LU paid 900 mil
for Nextbit with no revenue at the time only a hardware
story. Later Nextbit has sent a couple of its
systems to Frontier for testing. So far we haven't heard
any deployment. As far as I can tell, all they got was a
hardware story, namely 6.4 teribit router. No one knows
how it stacks up against competition in terms of
performance, reliability and compatibility.
And we all know they did not participating in any of those
independent tests.

Since BR has such a high hype on it, why not we wait until this
time next year, then we can make better judgement on it.
