Re: your thoughts on buyers for handset division. Well done.

If it is Compaq, I will accept a drink (non-alcoholic) from the group (as the first to mention them as a possibility)when we convene at the annual meeting.

However, I thought your comments re: the Far East, and particularly the Chinese as possilbe buyers, were very interesting. I wonder how Compaq does overseas and in particular in the Far East?

Good run down on the possible handset candidates. One thing that no one has mentioned: Assuming that the sale is really good strategically, the division could be sold in a tax free reorganization by which Qcom shareholders receive stock in the purchaser.
