what we are seeing is the final stages of unwinding the relaxation of Money Supply that began last Oct98

in July99 Fed officials began to tighten Money Supply... it affected adversely the dollar and smallcap US stocks... TBonds have held remarkably well despite this onslaught

we might need some new Fed statements to mark the end of the tightening toward normalcy... instead we got the Greenspan scare to bankers on reserve requirements

the end of relaxed Money Supply to handle LTCM and illiquidity in corporate bond arena is one of the biggest untold stories today
