Harper The bible teaches that God loves the Righteous and hates the wicked. Who are the righteous ?? Those who are saved by God's Grace alone. Who are the wicked ?? Those who are left in their sin. LOOK: Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Who said this ?? Psalms 139:21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? Who can say the following ?? Certainly not me !!! 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Harper I TOO was taught that "God hates sin but loves the sinner".. I found out the hard way that is inaccurate and unbiblical... God loves the "Elect" while they where yet sinners ( before they ever knew about HIM... John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Romans 10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. US US US .... THE SHEEP.... Those whom the Father "gave him" 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ALL OF US Wonder who the last person to get saved will be :-} God loves the "Elect" but hates the "Wicked".... Psalms 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Psalms 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What did Moses say to Pharoah " God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life " Come on Harper... Let's think about this... God has "Vessels of Mercy" ( the Elect ) whom he has GLORIOUS MERCY UPON ! But when the scripture says: Psalms 136:15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever. Was he having MERCY on PHAROAH or his chosen people. Wrath upon Pharoah a Vessel of Wrath. Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? Take Care Harper lest you find out your not arguing with me But with God himself... Jesus loves "His Own Sheep" but hates the "Goats".... ==== JESUS SAID ==== John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. ==== JESUS SAID ==== Brian just repeated it :-}
