My lovely wifey gets these episodes, usually when there's yard work<g>, where she has no peripheral vision..or it's obstructed..or tunnel like. This is followed by severe headaches on one side or another. It scares the sh*t out of me. Vascular migraines is what the Dr. calls it. Seems to come in cycles. She won't have one for a year and then have several in a few months. Caffeine is about the only bad habit I never hooked into.
