More on Bill the Barn-dweller:

The William Wallace who lived at the same address as Jeanette Wilcher in Minnesota has a SS number that appears in public records showing a Minnesota tax lien.

Checking the first four digits of this social security number at informus.com, it says these digits indicate that his social security number was issued in 1973 in the state of California.

The date, 1973, is a little surprising. I have been told by someone who has met her that Jeanette appears to be in her early 50's. That means her son would have been at most 14 years old in 1973. It wasn't that common to issue social security numbers to children, before they began working, back then.
