I'll look at the bottle. My mom told me that she heard someone on the radio from Home Depot recommend a product called, "Bruce". The people who wanted a product had a similar problem. They took a rug up but bits of the carpet pad had stuck to their floor. We did not have this problem.

The HD guy told them that "Bruce" would clean the wood and bring up the polish.

HD here never heard of the product.

COSTCO had industrial strength product that we were scared to use. Not sure if it was good for wood.

I don't know what housemate did with the stuff he bought. So I'll have to wait until I talk with him.

There is a fine wood-working shop near us. I figured if there was anything out there they would have it.

There's a bit of gloss on the floor~still. The room looks empty without a carpet in one area. I suppose I could buy a cheap throw rug for that area. Of course, it wouldn't look very well with the silk Oriental rug that I bought in Singapore. Butt we had to place that rug in an area that we rarely walk on...(gggg)

Housemate phoned. The product is called, "Prelude". It is a furniture cleaner that cleans wood and removes wax.

You wipe it on and remove with cloth b4 it dries.

We've never had trouble with Sears. I'd shop there but the location is very inconvenient. When they go on line, I imagine I will buy a few things.
