Sometimes there's an announcement, but usually not. Trading starts again when the news is released. I assume that in this case the news was LVEN's withdrawal of the offer for Jackpot.

T.12 Halt - Pending Additional Information Requested by Nasdaq
(Trading is halted pending receipt of information requested by Nasdaq.)

H.4 Halt - Non-compliance
(Trading is halted due to the company's non-compliance with Nasdaq listing requirements.)

H.9 Halt - Not Current

Notes: News Codes H.4 and H.9 will ordinarily be activated in situations where an SEC trading suspension is terminated and a Nasdaq trading halt is terminated, but the issuer in either instance is not in compliance with specific Nasdaq requirements in NASD rule 4120 and its interpretations. H.4 and H.9 codes indicate a qualifications halt, and quotations may not be displayed until the issuer meets Nasdaq requirements or is given a temporary exception.
