Thanks Marcos.... I don't know where I stated that I don't like conspiracy theories, unless it was in reference to things like the Bilderbergs, Trilateralists, United Nations takeovers.... etc.

I certainly don't buy into global domination theories since there are so many groups being blamed for trying to take over the world that they would only cancel one another out.

However, I certainly believe that nations sharing common interests can act together when they have much at stake as Europe and Asia do.

As for playing gold, I would feel much more comfortable nibbling at it should it retrace some of that gap-up it enjoyed. Traditionally, gap-ups are fine opportunities for shorting positions until there is a bit of consolidation.

However, I don't think anyone really wants to short gold either right now. The XAU's daily chart is oversold, but the weekly chart shows the gold stocks rolling over on an overbought condition.
