Then why don't you just make a list of your Favorite Figures of the 20th Century? If you really are serious about drawing up a list of the Most Influential, then, if you are honest, you will have to include some people on it you personally are "ambivalent" about.

Keynes was clearly just about the most INFLUENTIAL economist of the 20th century, whether one approves of Keynsianism or not.

P.S. And on looking at your opening post again, I must say (perhaps I am just being dim) that I still do not get the impression from it that you only expected us to make nominations, while you would decide which nominees would make the final cut.
